Weekly Whimsy

Hello !
Can you feel the change of the season happening for you yet?
I sure can. No matter how I tried to hold on, my normal summer attire has now become a thing
of the past. Sweaters, my fleece jacket, jeans, leggings, and socks have now once again become my fashion statements during the day. During the evening, back to warmer loungewear along with my cuddly fleece robe and slippers.
Not only is it starting to feel like Autumn but it has most definitely started to show itself as well. The leaves are turning to their beautiful red, orange, and golden hues with quite a few that have fallen to the ground already.
With these changes, I have noticed that we are also being drawn to changes in our eating as well. Lately, we have been drawn back to what I call our cozy warm foods. Soup is one of them.
This evening my dear hubby became the cook as I was working on this Whimsy and served up his tomato soup specialty for us. It was one of the first meals he cooked for me when we first met tomato soup with
garlic and ground pepper. Has always been a winner and has become one of my favorites. It may be simple but oh so delicious. I love the combination! To round out the menu, out came the crackers, dairy-free cheese slices, and a nice big bowl of salad with black beans. What a perfectly delicious Autumn dinner!!
Speaking of Autumn, I couldn't help myself, I had some questions that popped into my mind about it so off I went and asked Mr. Google about it. My curiosity led me to more than I had originally had questions. I had a great time!
Here are some links I found with information that you might find interesting too.
One day you may even be
able to win a trivia game or two on the topic if these ever come up in the questions.
With all that you have learned as well as personally
experienced, what changes have you been noticing lately with the seasonal changes happening around you?
As I have been moving into the new season, I think of the circle of life. I see how I have started to gravitate more toward the home environment, home cooking, and creativity.
