Hello !
Â
Holidays are great and when it is a road trip, I have decided comfort over feeling silly any day! Â
Â
Â
When we left quite early in the morning, even though it is summer, my legs felt quite cool
wearing shorts. Â Out came my pajama pants, which usually stay in the house. Â Since I packed very light this trip, that became my choice along with my robe.
Â
I may have looked silly but I chose comfort over silly. Â Actually, I didn't feel all that silly, until I asked my hubby to take a picture of me when we stopped for a pitstop. Â You should have seen his face, that was when I did feel a momentary silliness. Â Besides, he wasn't very enthused with the idea, but thankfully he did take the picture.
Â
It was a quick, just to get it over and done with picture since I was quite adamant about it being a picture I could not have taken myself. Â Now I should have given a quick scan of
what was in the background. Â I didn't. Â I need to be more aware next time especially when asking someone else to take the pictures. Â There were no trees or pretty background, but a nice big Budget Rental van and the side of a wall. Â Not quite a holidayish background, but oh well... Â I was not going to say anything. Â I got my picture and that was all that mattered. Â Besides, I was in such a great mood and thrilled to have the picture at all. Â Thank you,
thank you!!
Â
After posing for the picture and getting it taken, I heard someone say something about my outfit.
I turned to see a lady watching who gave me a thumbs up.  She said she wouldn't have had the courage before but realized who cares.  Comfort is more important to her too and she will be trying that out the next time for herself.  I think she found my husband's reaction fun to see and wanted to see how hers would be as well.
Â
I do find myself thinking back to that day. Â It still makes me smile and brings me a lot of joy knowing that I didn't take myself so seriously. Â How freeing it felt and still does.
Â
What have you been able to allow yourself to do recently that brought you joy and made you smile?
Â
How about something that you may have considered too silly to do but you did it anyway?
