This is been a week of dealing with learning curves and staying focused.
Both of those areas have been very challenging. Those learning curves can be a royal pain on the brain wreaking havoc on the discipline of focus plus not getting a good night's sleep.
Thankfully, I have been able to figure out all I wanted to do. Interestingly enough, in most cases, it wasn't that difficult. What was and is difficult is me making it difficult.
How
about you? Does this sound like you? Or not? I would suspect I am not the only one like this. Please let me not be the only one like this?!! Are you the same? I would love to know...
For the time being, I did get
through it and accomplished what I was working on. There were a few strategies that worked for me. Went for a walk in the hallway or climbed into bed and read. Hopped into my online game and played for a while, trying not to get killed by some pixel creature. One day, I even went to bed for a nap, enough was enough.
What a relief to finally figure out what I had set out to do, but good grief! I sure was wondering how long it would take me. Stopping to give my brain a break, was a huge help in those ways. Much better than getting lost while browsing the internet. Not getting lost on the internet is another discipline I am working on. That adds
to my brain buzzing and makes for a very difficult time getting to sleep, and that is not good at all.
What strategies do you use to give your brain a break when your focus has gone off somewhere else, ?
What have I been focused on? Glad you asked!! grins
My focus has been getting ready for the Gratitude Attitude Challenge which starts on Monday, November 14th. I have been working on the finishing touches and am looking forward to Monday! I hope you are too!
The last Whimsy had the link to register. If you didn't get the chance to register or have been thinking about it but haven't yet, you still can!
