With Thanksgiving upon us, there is so much to be grateful for!
What are you grateful for?
It is the start of a season of many opportunities to reflect and be grateful. My hope and prayers are that this does become a time your heart will open up to do just that.
A great way of doing this would be to sit down and journal about what you are grateful for. I would love to encourage you to do this. If journaling feels like an arduous task, how about making a list of what you are grateful for? Take even five minutes to sit down and write out anything and everything that pops into your mind. Keep your list where you can see it. Add to it as time
goes on. Keep it handy to revisit, remember and appreciate all the beautiful moments that have brought you gratitude and probably continue to do so.
Focusing more on what you are grateful for helps you to notice even more
grateful moments. Begin to notice how much happier and lighter your heart feels as you focus and appreciate those precious moments of gratitude that you have.

It also brings to my mind a beautiful Bible verse that I refer to often:
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things."
Philippians 4:8 NIV
Now if you are wondering how that verse fits with being grateful? Well, the more you focus on those, the easier it
becomes to see what is in your life to be grateful for. Where you look, and where your heart is, will be how you see and feel. Gratitude doesn't always just happen, there will be times that it does require work on your part, especially on those difficult days.
Here is another wonderful quote that speaks to this:

There is so much I am grateful for: family, friends, health, and the ability to share with you through my coaching, writing, and speaking. To be able to see and feel the
changes of the seasons around me, and so much more... I have truly been richly blessed!
