Today is Valentine's Day with many celebrating it in one way or another.
Â
Â
Â
Do you know where its origin stems from? Â It does have its roots that go
back to the ancient Roman days and was not recognized as it is today. Â The holiday itself is said to be named after Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century A.D., and Pope Gelasius set the date of February 14th to be called Valentine's Day.

Here is a link for more information on the history that you may find quite interesting and enlightening:
Even though this day did not start with hearts and flowers, I am happy that it does now. Â It can be a day where we can share and express our love and care to those who mean a lot to each of us.
Â
In the spirit of love, please also remember what Jesus said about the greatest commandment to love God above all else. Â He also said that the second being: Â "Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39
Â
So, don't forget about loving yourself. Â Treat yourself with love and give yourself some intentional self-care this week.
