It becomes a huge problem when it begins to get in the way of enjoying life. As mentioned previously, the responses experienced due to stress
are a mechanism in place that is there to protect us. They are worth being aware of.
Â
We did look at some of the physical symptoms, now let’s look at some of the emotional symptoms as well.
Â
These can be a feeling of:
1. Overwhelm
2. Helplessness
3. Hopelessness
4. Loneliness
5. Frustration
6. Major mood swings
7. Depression
Â
One can experience:
1. Guilt without any reason
2. An overbusy mind that won’t turn off
3. Difficulty relaxing
4. Fatigue
5. Sleeping too little or a lot
6. Unexplained pain
7. Self-isolating from others and/or activities
Â
Now these symptoms can come and go at any given time with different self-care strategies as you learn to manage your stressful situations. However, if any become serious and are not going away, please reach out to your doctor for
guidance.
Being aware and mindful of these symptoms, like the
physical ones, will also help you greatly to support and hopefully reduce, if not eliminate the impact.
Â
May your week be filled with beauty, calm, joy, gratitude, and whimsy!
