Our
Weekly Whimsy
Summer
with Coach Angela Schmidt
Hello !
Your mind and body connection is very intertwined.
This connection has so many far-reaching effects regarding your well-being, both good and not-so-good. It can affect your body, your mood, and your behavior. When
it is not good, it can hinder your daily activities. Stress is a prime example of this.
When I feel stressed, it is very difficult to do much of anything. I find myself mindlessly lost on my computer or cellphone endlessly scrolling and not paying attention to what I am even looking at. I end up with a headache and feeling very very
tired. It affects my ability to sleep well. In the midst of all that, I lose my appetite and end up overthinking. I can start taking what others say very personally which then adds to my overthinking, becoming quite anxious and stressed even more, and if one thinks a headache can’t get worse, oh my goodness!! It can! What a vicious cycle! Something else I have also experienced was a panic attack. That was very scary!
How about you?
When you are feeling stressed, what does it feel like?
Where in your body do you feel it?
What do you find you end up doing or not doing when you are stressed?
I would love to hear from you.
Please share
In the next Whimsy, we will look at some common effects of stress.
You have been created as a whole person, not unrelated parts. Everything about you is connected, your mind, your body, and your spirit.
May your week be filled with peace, love, joy, and whimsy!
