Let's examine the first category, high in sugar.
What are you drinking?
This is the easiest to spot for high sugar content. These can include sodas, fruit juices and sweetened tea. The best drink to drink is water.
What are you eating?
This is not as easy. There are many types of sugar to watch out for. This is especially true if you are using products that are considered to be healthy. This is where being an ingredient reader is very
important. You will be unpleasantly surprised at what you will find.
Did you know there are at least 56 commonly called sugars that you will find when you look at the ingredient labels?
Some that won't surprise you, but you will find many that will. Also, you may find more than one type of sugar in the ingredient list. This came as a surprise to me when I was doing my research. Just how many sugars do you need in one product?
Five tips to reduce unnecessary sugar, especially sugar that is not as healthy.
Drink more water.
Choose
fresh fruit.
Eat whole foods.
Cook with simple one-ingredient products.
Read labels.
