Hello !
I am very curious, what did you find?
Looking in your fridge and pantry this past week, while considering those three top contenders that were mentioned in the last Whimsy, what did you notice? Were you pleasantly surprised? Or confused and wondering what the heck am I looking for?
One of the best ways to know is to look at the ingredients with what you have. If you see there are words you do not recognize or are unable to pronounce easily, this is something to consider. This will help you to know how highly
processed it is.
Here are some questions to consider as you continue to study the list of ingredients:
How many ingredients are there?
How many types of sugar do you see on that list? Is it one or more of the first top items listed?
Has it been fortified with synthetic vitamins and minerals?
Does it have artificial and/or unfamiliar additives and chemicals?
Does it have refined carbohydrates?
These are great starter questions. They will help you to become more aware of how processed the food item is.
