Love the taste of summer!!!
I sure do!! There is nothing like it for me! From the emails that I received from the last Whimsy, many have been enjoying it too.
This is the time to enjoy the season’s freshest and most flavorful produce. This season brings a bonus to the meaning of delightful deliciousness and that is its powerful punch of nutrients in every bite that supports your overall health. What could be better than God’s gift of delicious health in every bite?
Below are ten top summer produce, each with a simple tasty recipe.
1. Bell Peppers
Colorful
and crunchy, bell peppers add a sweet flavor to any dish. They taste great fresh, broiled, grilled, roasted, or sauteed.
They are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, and fiber.
Stuffed Bell Peppers
Fill bell peppers with a mixture of quinoa, black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes, then bake until tender for a hearty and satisfying plant-based meal.
2. Berries
Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are at their peak in the summer. Enjoy them fresh, in desserts, or blended into smoothies. They do make for a perfect snack!
