Hello, !
Creativity unlocks a happier, more joyful you!
Have you ever noticed how great it feels to lose yourself in a creative activity? It can be doodling, brainstorming a new idea or cooking a delicious meal. Being in that creative mode has a way of sparking joy.
There is a strong connection between creativity and happiness. Engaging in creative expression can lift your mood, bring you joy and help you feel content.
Creativity
and happiness go hand in hand. Immersing yourself in a creative activity or project, your brain releases dopamine. This feel-good chemical is linked to feeling happy and grateful. No matter how small creative moments will have a wonderful influence on your mood and overall well-being.
Here are three ways that creativity helps with happiness:
1. Encourages a flow state
Being deeply focused on a creative task, you can enter what is known
as a ‘flow state.’ This is a state of being involved and enjoyment in the activity. This can bring a wonderful sense of fulfillment and joy.
2. Boosts confidence and self-esteem
Engaging in creative activities helps you recognize your unique abilities. This can give you a feeling of delight and success.
3. Invites play and exploration
Giving you permission to play, explore, experiment, and try new things without fear of failure. This freedom brings a lot of joy into your life.
Take Michelle, she never considered herself creative. One day, while playing with her kids, she thought of a new game that entertained
them for hours. The experience brought joy not just to her children but to Michelle as well. She realized that creativity wasn’t just about making things. It was also about connecting, having fun, and enjoying the present moment.
This week, find joy in creative play. Here are two activities
for you to choose from, or do both:
1. Try something new that feels playful
This could be drawing, dancing, or even trying a new hobby. Don’t worry about the
outcome. Just focus on having fun!
2. Spend time outside and create something inspired by nature
Take photos, sketch, or gather leaves for a simple nature craft. Let
nature inspire your creativity and lift your spirits.
