Hello !
Hope is the heartbeat of Advent!!
Pause and reflect on the gift of hope we have this wonderful time of year as you look forward to Christmas.
Hope in the celebration of the birth of Jesus, the light in the darkness, a comfort in times of uncertainty. It is a time to wait, trust and believe in more than ourselves. This time reminds us that during this time of waiting and longing, we have more to be hopeful about.
As you anticipate the beautiful promise of Christmas, anticipate with hope in these moments of uncertainty. May you look beyond.
.
I invite you to discover
and nurture hope within and around you. Prepare your heart for the joy and light that come with hope in your days.
I will share small practices, reflections and activities to connect with Hope. May you build a deeper sense of peace, joy and expectancy as you move through this Christmas
season.
Here is a simple yet powerful activity to start this time with, “The Hope Jar.”
Find a jar (or any
container). Find one you love. Decorate it with symbols that reflect hope for you using pictures, stars, ribbons, and even words that inspire you. During December, write down your hopes, dreams, and prayers for the upcoming year on small pieces of paper. Add to the jar each day, let each hope be a reminder of the light you’re cultivating within your heart.
On New Year’s Day, revisit your jar. Read the hopes you have collected. Reflect on each one and the journey you’ve taken during this time.
Think, reflect and journal about these
questions:
1. What new intentions will you carry forward into the year ahead?
2. How has writing down your
hopes brought them into focus?
May this simple activity remind you that hope isn’t just a feeling. It is a choice you make each day.
Nurture it, share it, and watch it grow. Help others to do the same.
I’m so excited to walk this Advent season with you! Keep your eye out for more small moments of hope coming your way. Know that I’m cheering you on every step of the way!
I would love to hear your thoughts as you consider those questions and connect with Hope.
