Hello !
Christmas is a season of wonder, joy, and possibilities!
It is a time when we reflect on the beauty of hope fulfilled. Yet before hope blossoms into fulfillment, it begins as a seed, tiny, fragile, and full of potential. Advent reminds us of this
beautiful process.
Hope often starts small, like the flicker of a candle in the dark or a whispered prayer carried on the wind. As you prepare your heart for Christmas, nurture the seeds of hope in your life.
Your hope this season may be for healing, growth, or something new. Maybe it’s a longing for peace and joy in your heart and/or in your relationships. Whatever your hope may be, it deserves to be tenderly cared for, much like the journey of Mary and Joseph, who carried the Hope of the world as they travelled toward Bethlehem.
How do you nurture hope? Just as a seed needs sunlight, water, and time, hope requires faith, action, and patience. Imagine planting a seed in winter’s cold ground, trusting it will eventually bloom into something beautiful.
What "sunlight" can you bring to your hopes this season?
This week, I challenge you to enjoy including small actions that nurture your hope. They don’t have to be grand or perfect. Meaningful growth can happen quietly in those small
steps.
Take a quiet moment during this busy season to reflect and journal on these three questions.
1. What is one
hope you are carrying in your heart this Christmas?
2. How can you nurture it today?
3. What does this
season teach you about trusting this growth process?
I would love to hear your thoughts as you consider those questions.
Here is this week’s activity to consider, “A Hope Journal.”
Find a peaceful moment each evening to reflect on your day. Could you write down one small thing you did that moved you closer to nurturing your hope? It could be a kind word you shared, a prayer you whispered, or a decision to trust.
Over the next few weeks, watch how these small acts of care can grow into something extraordinary. On Christmas morning, revisit your journal. Let it remind you that just as God’s promises were fulfilled through the birth of Jesus, the hopes you have and nurture can blossom into light and joy.
Prayerfully nurture your hopes and watch them unfold. This Christmas season, find comfort in knowing that your hopes, like seeds, are full of potential. Care for them in faith and love. They are destined to grow.
May you prayerfully nurture your hope with love, joy, and whimsy!
