Did you feel that?!
A little shift, a gentle nudge.
It is almost like there is a happy little hop along with a little magic in the air! Yep, it is that time again!
This Sunday, we spring forward an hour, trading a bit of sleep for golden evening light.
Before going to bed Saturday night, remember to put your clock ahead one hour!
Yes, you will lose an hour of sleep, but you will gain more evening light to enjoy!
Here are five simple ways to make the transition easier:
1. Soak in the Morning Light
In the early morning daylight try to go outside. This will help reset your internal clock. Sunlight signals your body to wake up naturally!
2. Ease Into It
Gradually shift your bedtime 15–30 minutes earlier a few nights before. This change can help your body adjust smoothly.
3. Create a Soothing Night Routine
Dim the lights. Reduce screen time. Unwind with a calming ritual. Think herbal tea, a warm bath, or gentle stretching.
4. Move Your Body
Extra movement during the day can help balance energy levels and promote restful sleep.
5. Stay Extra Alert
The time change can affect focus and reaction time. Allow yourself extra time to wake up fully in the morning. Remember to be mindful on the road.
Here are a couple of questions to consider and journal about:
What are you looking forward to as the days grow longer and brighter?
How can you make space for more lightness—inside and out?
