Cheers to a bright new year!! 2025!
As you start this new year, take a moment to reflect on what you have left behind and look forward with anticipation for what is to come.
Let’s not dive into all
your plans and dreams for this new year just yet. Take it slow, breathe deeply and appreciate this moment. See and feel it as a fresh beginning.
Here is a checklist of some things to consider at this time as you enjoy this moment as you ease into this new month:
New Year Checklist
Light a candle or enjoy a quiet moment of reflection.
Write down one thing you’re grateful for from 2024.
Play a favorite song to set the tone for the
year.
Treat yourself to your favorite cozy drink.
Think of one small act of kindness to share today.
Oh! Let’s not forget to have a fun snack as you do this, and yes, as you enjoy it with your cozy
drink.
Crispy Chickpea Crunch
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp of your favorite seasoning (paprika, garlic powder, or a touch of cinnamon for sweetness!)
Method:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the chickpeas dry, then toss with olive oil and seasoning.
Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway
through.
Let them cool slightly before enjoying—a crunchy, protein-packed treat!
**If you are not into chickpeas, there are plenty of alternatives to replace them with. Here are a couple:
Roasted Almonds or Cashews
Use whole almonds or cashews, toss with olive oil and seasoning, and roast at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes.
Try seasoning with savory spices like smoked paprika or sweet ones like cinnamon and a touch of maple
syrup.
